gravitytank Wins E.A.T. Lunch UX Challenge
E.A.T. Lunch UX Challenge
Millions of children in the United States live below the poverty line. For these children and families, the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) is a critical support system. Access to free or reduced price meals through the program is often the difference between children eating a meal or not eating at all.
The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) worked with the USDA to redesign the paper application form for the NSLP. Updates to the form have significantly reduced the time and money needed to correct errors in filling out the previously cumbersome, multi-page form.
Along with the newly updated 1-page form, OPM put out a challenge to design an electronic application form.
Our team at gravitytank was inspired by OPM’s work, and couldn’t wait to dive in on this challenge.
